A results oriented senior executive and pioneer in the International telecommunications arena, with 30+ years experience developing fortune 500 corporate networks in over 200 countries worldwide. Management of Information technology budgets in excess of $200 million annually, and leadership of multi national technology organizations spanning 30 countries.
As Senior Vice President, Network Engineering & Technology Services for Western Union, in Montvale, NJ, 1992 - 2008 Mr. Perritt was responsible for development of a Telecommunications network that encompassed 214 countries and territories, which Western Union uses for their money transfer products around the globe to over 300,000 locations. He developed and led a staff of multi national technologists located in 30 countries. Managed an Information Technology budget of $80+ million annually, and was credited with providing over $300 million in telecommunication cost savings through innovative network architecture improvements.
As Senior Vice President, Enterprise Network Engineering, for First Data Corporation, Paramus, NJ, 1998 - 2006, Mr. Perritt was responsible for management and architecture of FDC’s US and International telecommunications network which encompassed all of the First Data subsidiaries. He managed an annual telecommunications budget of over $200 million, and was the leader of an engineering staff of over 200, deployed in 25 countries. His team was responsible for providing US/International network architecture improvements and consolidations totaling over $200 million in corporate cost savings.
Early in his career with Western Union, 1971 - 1988, Mr. Perritt led an engineering team in launching the first privately owned communication satellites in US history. The network consisted of five “Westar” communications satellites.
Mr. Perritt served in the US Navy from 1967 - 1971 as Communications officer, where he managed a Telecommunications station and engineering staff in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
He holds a degree in Telecommunications and Networks Technology from the US Armed Forces Institute.
